    Where did that sample come from?

    I always wanted to know where Luna-c (and in turn Sublove as thats the version I like) got his sample from when he made edge on Madness (to this day it still escapes me).

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbgonDyziXw

    So it got me thinking There must be people out there who are dying to know where certain vocals, riffs and beats come from. OR those who have a nugget of info they want to share (like where does the vocal from Sons of a Loop da Loop Era's Far Out come from?)

    To kick things off I thought I'd give you an obvious one but the main vocal on Noise Factory's The Fire;

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bd3Gsvg8Vwo

    Is from Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac with Sara;

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttOBnmXFDtQ

    not sure where the secod vocal is from though....

    Any more for any more

    Re: Where did that sample come from?

    Only recently found out about this one myself, as i wasn't into dance music at all at the time it got released (1988).

    The tune is 'Just Want Another Chance' by Reese (=Kevin Saunderson) and is the original sample source for the reese bassline that is used in a lot of Drum & Bass. One of the first Jungle/DNB tunes in which it got used was of course 'Renegade - Terrorist'.

    The Vocal in The Crimewatch Project - Kiss My Neck "the vibe that's going through me makes me feel alright" is Chevelle Franklin (Shabba Ranks - Mr Loverman), I can remember being well pleased with myself when I clocked that one bitd :ymsmug:
