Exclamation 2 Bad Mice 60 minute Guest Mix on Oldskool Sundays at Renegade Radio

Legendary '2 Bad Mice' who bought us some the biggest dance/rave anthems of the early 90's including the massive track 'Bombscare' will be hosting our next guest mix on Oldskool Sundays radio show on www.renegaderadio.co.uk (Also home to Hip House pioneer
    Tyree Cooper)
After Last months record breaking show with rave legend Mark Archer (Ex Altern8 & Nexus 21) and not forgetting Dj Shock C who kicked off the official relaunch on our 1st guest mix back in August were bringing you another legendary act from the Oldskool scene.
This all happens on Sunday 30th October from 6pm till 9pm GMT.
Here is some info on the Moving Shadow legends:

2 Bad Mice formed in England in 1991, and was comprised of Sean O'Keeffe, Simon Colebrooke, & Rob Playford, also owner of Moving Shadow records. 2 Bad Mice were widely credited as among the first UK hardcore acts to begin heavily incorporating breakbeats into their style. They were a staple on the early to mid-90s hardcore scene, and were instrumental in the music's steady mutation into jungle/dru...m'n'bass.

The group's very influential approach to sampled beats, cutting them up into shards of rhythm and rearranging them in novel combinations (first appearing in mature form on the 1992 hit Bombscare), is generally considered the blueprint from which jungle's characteristic manipulation of breaks was assembled.

Although 2 Bad Mice for the most part stopped producing as the hardcore scene began to wane, a best-of compilation of the group's work appeared on the American Sme Communications label in 1995. Playford continues to record as under the alias Timecode, while O'Keeffe records under the name Deep Blue and as a member of Black Rain.

In 1994 DJ and producer Paul Rhodes alongside Rob Haigh (Omni Trio) remixed Bombscare under the nom de plume of The Parliament Squares. This record was sold to record shops as a (fake) US import and sold 3,000 copies in one week alone.

A new label was created in 1996 with the help of Terry Donavan (A & R at Arista, recently CEO at Rockstar Games). Moshed, (MOving Shadow HousE Dept) carried the new mixes from Tall Paul, DJ Sneak, and Graham Gold along with the original and Parliament Squares versions. Rhodesy became a bad mouse and went on to front the press and promo campaign, touring with the other new member, (eye candy), Brucella.

Despite having sold many thousands of copies, the remixes just nudged the charts when released. Not helped by the renewed IRA bombing campaign. Bombscare was not a good name for a tune!!!!!

O'Keeffe and Rhodes currently DJ worldwide as 2 Bad Mice, whilst also promoting their own old-school events with many of the original innovators of the scene, Andy C, DJ Phantasy, Altern 8, Baby D to name a few, They are also involved with several remix projects at the moment, notably, T.E.E.D and JC001.

STOP PRESS>>>>> Si 2 Bad has officially come out of retirement and is now back behind the decks!!
