Thread: Dodders BIG Vinyl Auction - PLEASE READ THIS!!

As some of you may know, this Easter weekend Renegade Radio will be hosting their annual charity event: The Long Good Friday. As well as guest DJ's there'll be giveaways, auctions and DJ's round the clock for the whole four days. All proceeds from this are donated to the Shooting Star Chase Childrens Hospice - a very worthy cause i'm sure you'll agree.

In conjunction with this, i will be hosting a special 3 hour show on Bank Holiday Monday (Apr 25th 3-6PM) where i'll be auctioning off a hefty chunk of my vinyl collection. This will be mainly House tunes from the mid-90's but there may be a surprise thrown in here & there.

Now many of these records can be bought cheaply from Ebay or Discogs so why should you get them from me you ask?

3 reasons:

1) Everything i play on the day will be straight from the vinyl and available to buy - therefore you're hearing the quality of the vinyl your purchasing

2) With every item sold i will give away a few other goodies, either from the same label or similar. Furthermore, in some cases you'll be able to choose what you want sent as your freebies.

3) and most important.....ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO SAID CHARITY!!!

This will not break your bank - you will NOT be paying silly money for anything you buy - but anything you give may touch someones life in a way you can't imagine - whatsmore you get a few tunes in the process.

I know many of you will have no interest in buying records in this day and age - but i bet you know someone that does - so please pass this invite on to anyone you think this might interest.

I'm going through the crates tomorrow - once done i'll get a label list together so peeps get an idea of what they might be getting

That's a nice thing you are doing Dodders - auctioning some of your beloved vinyl for charity - i'm sure there will be plenty of interest

Right then, this is how its gonna work.

First off, apologies for not getting a list together - its bin a bit of a week.

Basically i'm gonna be dropping tunes for 3 hrs, any of which you hear, can be yours.

All we're asking is that you donate £2.50 to the charity page (see above). Once you've done that then any tune you hear you can claim & it'll be yours - up to 5 tunes for your £2.50 - so if you donate a fiver you get 10 tunes....can't argue with that.

This vinyl out of my old "working box" so to speak, so there'll be pops & crackles along the way i'm sure - but touch wood, nothing unplayable.

With regard to P&P - as much as i'd like to stump up for it its just not possible - but i absolutely promise you u i'll charge the bare minimum.

Even if you aren't a vinyl collector or have no interest in what i'm playing, please try and donate something to the cause - every little really does help.
