you you wanting to take a shot in the mouth from frusha??

if i was 15 years younger....... so i didnt look like a middle aged fat mad having a midlife chrissis surrounded by people young nuff to by my own kids then i may have thought about it..............

then remembered im not 15 years younger and the last 'outdoor stage experience' rave i went too was a stage in the pateo that SHUT at 11pm.... i can also bet atleast 4 of the names listed wont be playing 'stricly 88-92'

    so NO!!!!

im sure anyone under the age of 25 that missed the whole 88-92 scene 1st time round will enjoy................... but not me and im not ruening any more of my memories.

corse its tempting... hence i made the mistake more than once in the last few years........

30 odd quid to have the rest of my great memories smashed even more and hang around with 100s of kids young nuff to be my own or people that are having midlife crissis cos they didnt live their life to the full when they were young nuff though???

dont get me wrong.. enjoy if ya going n that....... but dont think 1992 is gonna happen again

cos if you do..... you wernt there

I only went to Club Kinetic from 1994-96 and although Hardcore by this point was clearly well past its best; I really enjoyed my brief and sporadic "Raving in the Spotlight"....and if I could rewind time and go back to 1992 and start from there, I would. But I remember going to one of those Illusion nights in 2002 (and remember this is going back 10 years even now!!) at Newcastle Under Lyme.....and there was absolutely no atmosphere. I was only 25 then so clearly still okay to be out a popping and a wopping , but it was like being on a dancefloor with zombies and listless gorms.........the music ranged from brilliant to naff (Ratpack and their 'classic' old skool - really nu skool sets...) and much more underground and "avin" it sets from the likes of Tango and a PA by Nebula II - although this might have been the 2nd one I went to . I remember on the latter occasion a fight broke out and interrupted the music for about 10 to 15 mins.....wonderful!

So I have to be a bit cynical especially as Fantazia have the knack of spoiling sets by sticking PAs in the middle of them. Are they going to do that again?!?!?! What about the way the keep suspiciously releasing CDs of DJs at their big past events that didn't even play them!!!! 35 pounds in this day and age for a potentially disastrous and probably not very atmospheric and excitable crowd (well, nothing compared to a 1992/93 set up..) seems a bit much. In fact, we're talking license to print money I reckon....strictly 1992/93? I doubt it too. Call me cynical, a grouch or past it etc.....but I think when those that WERE there say call it a day and secure those memories untampered.......I agree with them; let your memories of what was the UK's biggest thriving scene in the last 20 years still remain uncorrupted......let the kids of today have a pop then. But if I was still in the UK, I wouldn't even be tempted to waste 35 (and then whatever else the night robs off you!) pounds on a washed up Rave organisation that clearly pursues the conquest of your wallet! DON'T DO IT!!!!!!

Of course, who am I to stand in the way of fun though...

I remember Bournemouth going rave mad after Fantazia. Never went back for any of the nights there after The Summertime rave, which was one of the best I ever attended!

If Summertime was weekly, the Eclipse would have been empty!
