Nice one mate, I like it! good to hear some scratching tooSo what you gonna call yourself? Gotta have a name now if your making tunes

I'm not a massive fan of Hardcore Breaks, but I love the way you guys keep pushing the sound forward with passion. The likes of RG, Pete, Simon Harris and many, many more deserve the upmost respect for pushing the sound that they love.
As said, I can't really comment but keep on trucking Leon![]()
CATCH ME LIVE ON RENEGADE RADIO ALTERNATIVE FRIDAYS 8-10PM
nice work leon. Needs a bit of tidying but its all there
oh & FAO Moonhead: if leon had stuck a chopped amen on this then for all intents & purposes it could be an oldskool tune. Methinks u, like many others are put off because its been labelled as h/c breaks. If Leon had topped up & said this was something he did bitd, you'd have no reason to doubt him. ATEOTD tis all Hardcore.
Just an observation......![]()
Loving that Leon
Tbh I'm quite surprised as I didn't know you were that talented. Nice darkness about it, and I love that break
Missing something, I don't what it is but it's like it lacks character, if you get me?
Good points with dodders, made me look at hcb a little differently![]()
Thanks... I think
I've always loved making tunes but it's only recently i've found the software that i can use & lets my creative side out
I could of added vocals (there is one at the beginning) but then i would have gone mad with it (like my Bobby's Beat track), so i kept it simple & this is what happened
Let me know what's missing & i'll see if i can add it for you matey![]()
No, for Christ's sake don't listen to my advice Leon
I am UBER-critical of tunes (ask RG), but it's because what I want to hear, not anyone else. Leon, you've got the wrong end of the stick pal, I am liking that tune me old farrrrrrrrmer boy
If you're happy with it that's fine. I'm always asking RG to tweak this and that and he's like, "nope, I'm keeping it like that, I like it".... although he does end up doing an alternate version for me
Dodders mate, I remember vaguely discussing hcb when I met you in the real-life-world, but did I tell you it wasn't my kipper tie?
Indeedy-doody
Didn't want to post this, but whenever I hear or see the word "hardcore breaks" your silver foxed boat appears in my brain![]()
I know what you mean Stu mate, i'm particular with my tunes too... So it's nice to finally be able to make them myself
But like i said, any advice or criticism is welcomed... When i'd finished this track & listened back to it i wasn't too keen on it, but after listening to it a few dozen times it's growing on me... I banged it out in about an hour & didn't make any changes to it, so this is it in its raw state... There's probably a few bits & bobs i want to change with it but knowing me i'll start rearranging it, adding more etc & it'll just be a mess
If you think of owt Stu, don't be shy... I won't be offended (except if you say you didn't realise i was talented)![]()
I like it, its all dark and swirly (if thats a word!)
If that was all in an hour and a half then thats very impressive, I think I spend more time listening over and over again to my stuff to make sure it sounds ok rather than actually making it.
I completely agree with Dodders on this - it's all hardcore at the end of the day - but when the label hardcore breaks is used it's like i don't like that it's not oldskool mentality but it's made with the same samples that were used to make oldskool tunes bitd. The only difference is that hcb is made recently and for some reason the label put's people off.
The amount of times i have heard someone playing a set and then they drop a hcb tune thinking it's oldskool is astounding and then that very person will say i don't like hcb - i just laugh!
I had a listen to your tune Leon - obviously some work needs to be done on levels and eq etc but i really like it - one thing i would change is that at 26 seconds when the next drumloop is added it doesn't run smoothly but apart from that it's really good Leon - well done![]()
I think it's shit but then I haven't listened to it....![]()
