Here's a mix I've just done thanks to Jugga's find of mostly FLAC tracks from the first 8 releases of Slammin' Vinyl, check out <here> and the lossless section in VIP
Bit of info here whilst I wait for it to upload: Red Alert & Mike Slammer are well known for making quality sounding lo-fi (which is an oxymoron in itself) tunes sampling the Bejesus out of everything but giving it a rough bad-boy yet uplifting vibe which have turned out to be actually legendary tracks in their own right; the beauty of this is that these anthems really made Red Alert & Mike Slammers' talent shine through with very limited hardware equipment all done on an Amiga!
Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed mixing this lot together and I do believe that every track released on every E.P. from RAR 001 - 008 is in this mix, a 15 year project in the making (I had most of the vinyl BITD but never did discographies for some reason).
I really genuinely hope that this mix gets either downloaded or streamed not for egotistical reasons, but because the Slammin' Vinyl releases bloody deserve it
Enjoy
