Thread: Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare 3?

Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 are both coming out within about 2 weeks of each other. Which one will you be playing? I can't make my mind up but quite enjoyed the Beta demo of BF3. Modern Warfare just looks dated although you can't beat a quick Deathmatch now and then.

I actually sold my XBOX the other day to avoid getting BF3 because I knew I'd end up losing days in online battles.

Never played any other game obsessively like that.

I have BF3 on the PC and its fooking amazing! Down side is its full of bugs but hopefully they will get fixed.

Ive always loved the cod games!but its the same over and over they dont seem to change that much , Battlefield was a good change for me considerin BF3 woz first 1 ive played.absolutely brilliant game!!!!, seems abit more uhmm realistic in a way , and after playin BF3 the cod games I spose seemed abit more arcadey.!!! been bangin out loads of hours on BF3!!!...but...............now I really want MW3 lol,tryin to scrape sum spare coins so I can get it. Ill keep switchin between the 2 once I get it , but I fink in the end most me time will end up on MW3.

Haven't played any of the BF series but MW3 seems to have sorted all the issues from the previous two releases & made an outstanding multiplayer game. You kinda' know what you're getting as it's COD afterall but a definite thumbs up from me.

Battlefield 3 all the way. 27 hours in and loving every second.

Not flaming or anything but with MOH/COD/MW been there done it. I know MW3 will be a heap of fun just not for me.


An example of why IMHO BF3 is better.

In the map with the oil terminal (??) I spawn as an engineer on a roof near the offices. I lock onto a jet flashing by and on the second attempt shoot it out of the sky. It then crashes into a squad of four players trying to retake the flag. Amongst all the ribbons/points that came up HEAD SHOT was the one that made me larf the most.

Oh and while trying NOT to crash a helicopter in FP view watching the two jets which had spent the last five minutes trying to shoot me down. I switched to 3rd and dropped like a stone towards the ground. I can just imagine the look on the noobs face as instead of me in front of them they saw each other. They never had a chance to eject. BANG.

Oh and always use the War Tapes option in audio.

Modern Warfare 3 strange for me. This action game I have enjoyed much and It's cool and awesome for me. If you have to tell something for it then first experience. You can never speak any about just say good one.
