For xbox 360. As a fan of 1st and 3rd person shooters should I buy this game???

It's a cracker. I've got it on the PS3 and it's fantastic. Worth every penny.

Just single player. It's not really the kind of game that would thrive on a multiplayer level.

Watched some footage of the game...quite it's sick.
Watch also the cartoon of Dead Space!

Im playing this at the moment. Its absolutely mint. A bit like a video game cross between event horizon and aliens.

It's like a 3rd person Doom, with repetitive scenery/levels. The sound is top notch though!

I was really unimpressed with dead space. I enjoyed the first two or three chapters but after that it was all the same, the weapons were boring and the enemies were samey. On the plus side I did only pay £7 for it from ebay

I really enjoyed it, played on the PS3 with the sound right up, it was the first game since the dog / window section in Resident Evil 1 to genuinely make me jump out of my seat. This was pretty much because of the way they used SFX - very well. There are some seriously disturbing noises and peek round corner moments to be had. They could have made more use of the zero g & space walking sections in my opinion but Dead Space still ranks as one of the best of 2008, if you ask me.

Sequel out soon too so I say get it!
