Thread: PS3 VS XBOX 360

i prefer xbox 360. because all my mates have 1 not many have p3s

PS3 by far the better purchase - It's "The Thinking Mans Console"

Voted PS3! I suppose both consoles have their good and bad points. I combination of both machines would be nice!

360 of course but my 360 its abit noizy lately

I prefer the Ps3 only cause I have never owned an Xbox though...lol

i have all 3 consoles but ps3 kicks xbox 360 arse ,its got blu-ray , wi-fi , ps network is free apart from extras you buy for your games while you have to pay just to play online with xbox . i bought the wi-fi connector for £50 for my xbox and coz its microsoft it does not find my router that the ps3 and wii picked up and connected to in no time at all , hate it but it has some good games so i need to have it

Its all about the 360 im afraid guys,it dwarfs the ps3 in many ways incluiding the fantastic customer support you get,i got the rrod and they promptley replaced the console within seven days for FREE.

A couple of my mates got the dredded orange light of death on there ps3 and sony told them to BUY a new console which they did but was a 360,i see this on watchdog aswell and sony refused to replace any of the consoles.

ive played both consoles to death and i gotta say that the loading times just suck on the ps3

it takes alot for me to slate sony for there console as ive had them all ,the ps1 & ps2 was excellent but the ps3 is just a dvd machine.
Lets hope they get there act together for the ps4.

Well normally i'd be gettin me pom poms out for the 360 - but not 10 mins ago i turned it on to have a game of Gears 1 and the disc drive stopped working. So i tried to get it working vertically, got a nice screeching noise and now the disc is stuck in the console - not the drive - the fookin' disc!! X(

This will be the 4th time i've had to send a 360 back in 3 years - ironically never had the RRoD so i've had to fork out the 40 sovs every time. Whatsmore i bet they won't reimburse me for the no-doubt very scratched disc thats stuck in the sodding machine!!

So my vote, Atari 2600.

Xbox 360 all the way for me

360 has its downsides ie having to pay for live but for me 360 is wicked, games are cheaper ect and at the moment battlefeild bad company 2 is giving me loads of fun online. Had a go on my m8s WII found the gfx poor and the games aimed at younsters not seen a ps3 in action but i think its early days for ps3 and 360 better games to come with better gfx as the games companys get to gripps with both consoles,just think of the next gereration of consoles wooooooooooooo

I've played both but have recently purchased a PS3 as it's for proper gamers....

Im an xbox man, found the user interface just easier to navigate, the online community put together better and for the earlier part the better exclusives were with the 360.
I voted 360.

HOWEVER, i think im getting a PS3 next month as i want to play heavy rain/infamous/God of War III.
Think my 360 will still by my main and just use PS3 for exclusives.

do love my xbox but thinking of getting a ps3 soon but i got a gamescore over 10000 now so hard to part

I have both (smug twat) and I hardly ever play the 360. If a game comes out on both consoles, Bioshock 2 for example, I will alwys get it for the PS3, its a better console to use, if that makes sense, it runs smoothly, hardly makes any noise, its free to go online, it just feels better. The 360 has some great games, but it has recently lost plenty of the exclusivity that MS paid for, even Bungie are soon to be no longer bound to it (I dont like Halo anyway). Not to mention the PS3 plays BDs, and I love a bit of HD viewing, you havent seen some films until you see them in shiny HD..and if 3-D kicks off proper the PS3 is already updated to play 3-D BDs and games. I sound like iM being harsh on the 360, I like it, it has good games and the online service (when I used it) is good, even though it costs about £60 a year. To me, its just a bit of a mess, and it has a 52% failure rate, I'm on my 3rd one. The PS3 just seems better.

i had both. still got ps3. reckon the exclusives are better on it, otherwise, they're not that different.

good having a blueray player kindof for free too

360 for me but like people are saying here it is a noise box but any oppotunity to crank up the amp up is always welcome
