I thought the recent GTA 4 sucked balls. Was a pile of shite and what made matters worse is that i waited in line for the midnight release lol.

But yep im enjoying RDR, real good game!

Well, after completely kicking the arse out of it for nearly a week (hence my lack of being on here), i can honestly say its one of the best games i've ever played.

The graphics are top drawer, gameplay tight, story and voice acting excellent and some of the random events are just funny as fook! The only gripe i've got is the ending - a bit odd. :-\ Still, doesn't detract from what is a complete must-have.

And i've not even tried the multiplayer yet!!

TBH Mexico was a bit of a let down for me. Good missions and great landscape but didn't seem to have enough going on.

I mentioned how good the random A.I was - prime example:

I was in the middle of nowhere hunting racoons for one of the side missions when i see this dude on horseback galloping towards me for all he's worth. He suddenly slams the brakes on, jumps off his horse and legs it over to a rather large rock - where he takes a lag!! He then casually strolls back to his mount and trots off like he's got all the time in the world. It was as if that was the only rock he pisses up in the entire West.

    I was in fekkin' pieces!!

i only meant the 'must buy' part didn't compute ... i'll have it as soon as a pc version is upped as a torrent at a reputable site B-)

    LOL

Was in mexico, on my horse, this random guy comes over, throws me off my horse, gets on and rides off.

I dont bother chase, just call my horse back and he bucks him off. The mexican runs off, i chase on foot to teach him a lesson, i lasso him, hogtie him, put him on back on my horse carry on my business, find a gully in the middle of nowhere, drop him in it, then for good measure put a bullet in he's leg while he hogtied.

Get back on my horse and ride off. LOL

    That'll teach him.

Nice. They're gits for trying to nick your horse!!

Hog-tied a nun and stuck her on the train tracks. Only problem was my horse was a bit close to the tracks and the train dragged the poor sod about 200 yards before going across one of the bridges and dropping him into the river. What a way to go!!

Well you say that: I'd got my rep up to the max so i made a second save just so i could mess about. As soon as i made the save, said nun came up to me offering me a few quid for all the good deeds i'd done. So i took the cash and the rest is history....Reckon the gods wanted to see it - the horse just gave them an extra laugh.

Will be getting this when I pop back to th UK for summer, over here it will cost about £65!! Call of Duty is still that much, had to get Dodders to post it to me and customs still wanted to know how much it cost etc so they could possibly get some more cash out of me (not that they did), pesky bankrupt country...

    Cool

Rockstar Games has ruled out the possibility of Red Dead Redemption coming to PC - for the time being, at least.

"As of now, there are no current plans to bring Red Dead Redemption to the PC platform," ... "If that should change, we will let you know."

And it could change, of course - Rockstar's previously brought the likes of GTA over to consoles some time after the original release. Breath-holding probably not advisable, though

I must admit, i sold it. Didnt have the heart to continue playing. Got really really bored.

Too linear for an open world game. I been a fan of rockstar since early GTA series and played all of them and the recent efforts are all very samey.

I digged Saints row 1 and 2 more than GTA4 and RDR.

I think one of rockstars crowning achievements is a game called the warriors.

    Anyone played it?

I agree with The Warriors mate. One of the best beat em ups ever. Definately on a par with Double Dragon and Renegade.

I wish rockstar would do another warriors game, was a throw back to the age of the double dragons etc.

The recent warriors game from rebellion may of been good but the rockstar version of the warriors is amazing.
One of my top games ever.

Just heard GTAV rumour that it'll take place in san andreas , roll on saints row 3.

Only GTA i'd be interested in is if they brought it back to London like they did in the expansion packs for the PC.

Set it in the 60s, black taxi's, routemasters, scooters, skinheads, mods. Heck make it a period game so takes place over late 60s, 70s and 80s.
The 80s would feature more ppl of different colours, punk rockers, little hot hatch type cars, etc.

Man i should work for rockstar.

I like the idea of London - but why not do a European GTA? They don't need to do the suburb areas, just keep it to the main part of each city. U could have it kicking off in London, flee to Paris for even more bedlam, go kick some Mafia arse in Rome and then off to the 'Dam for a shmoke & a pancake!!.

In fact, scrap that - just base it in the Dam. Red Light District, all the green u can carry, canals - gotta be a winner. Just try escaping the Feds on a tram or pushbike!

or they could just run with my idea and do london dodders lol.

Oldskoolrules: GTA have been recyling all there locations they had from the first top down GTA which included 3 cites. Liberty city, san andreas and vice city.
Each of those have been turned into a 3D version.

    Liberty city(new york) - GTA 3 and GTA 4
Vice City(Miami) - GTA Vice city (for ps2 set in the 80s) < Best one.
San Andreas(Los angeles) - GTA San andreas (set in the early 90s gangster rap era)

So realistically GTA London is the only one they havent brought into a 3D game yet, so still hope maybe .

Oh and GTA 2 was set in the future.

And yes i like video games lol.

^^^^^Problem with that is, as much as we think its a great idea - and half of Rockstar is based in Scotland, the Yanks will kick off about it. They don't like anything that isn't based around their own culture. Unless of course they make every home a cottage and everyone talks like Hugh Grant.

Oh, and not to nit-pick, but seeing as GTA London came out way back when, technically speaking i don't think you can claim it as your idea.

Agree about Vice City tho - much fun to be had.
