    X-Box 360 - Must have recomendations please>

Ok, I've not really played computer games for years but we bought an xbox 360 for the kids at x-mas with the kinnect and they have hardly used it. Just started buying a few kids games to use with the console and the eldest has used that a fair bit this last week. Figured I should really have a bash at some adult games too and have bought Dead Rising today.

So, can anyone with an xbox 360 recomend some must have adult games.. Not to bothered if they are old titles, in fact that would be better coz I can pick up second hand copies on ebay etc.. Just remember I havn't really played games in 15+ years so any titles are fair game.

Also, any good kids games for age 7+ would be appreciated.

What sort of thing do u fancy geez: shooters, adventures, driving??

EDIT: Also, are you looking for something to pick up & play for an hour here & there or something that could take weeks/months to complete?

To be honest i'd give anything a go.. Its been so long since I've played games I really couldn't tell you if any particular genre was my preference..

Cool, as I say if there are some older titles there all the better as I'll be able to get them cheap.

I thought the Fable and Forza series were good. My 360 hasn't been switched switched on for while now, I was thinking about dusting it off and updating the JTAG and Dash malarchy to have a look at the new Duke Nukem game (and anything else that sounds like my kind of thing from this thread )

Right, start with the obvious. I'm gonna presume your not really after online gaming unless you say otherwise.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1 or 2 - both good shooters but still a bit pricey considering their age
Gears of War 1 or 2 - very different to the CoD's - you'll pick up no 1 silly cheap Gears of War Review - Xbox 360 Review at IGN
Batman: Arkham Asylum - Cracking beat-em-up style Batman: Arkham Asylum - Xbox 360 - IGN
Red Dead Redemption - Big open-world cowboy jaunt Red Dead Redemption - Xbox 360 - IGN
Bioshock - very different kind of shooter - BioShock Review - Xbox 360 Review at IGN
Forza 2 - massive simulation style driving Forza Motorsport 2 - Xbox 360 - IGN
    Dirt 1 or 2 - More rally-type racing Dirt - Xbox 360 - IGN
Burnout: Paradise - chaos driving Burnout Paradise - Xbox 360 - IGN
Oblivion - huge role-playing game The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Xbox 360 - IGN
    Fallout 3 - another RPG Fallout 3 - Xbox 360 - IGN
Fable 2 - Slightly different type of rpg Fable II - Xbox 360 - IGN

Just a few - i could go on all night.

I use that review site as a guideline all the time - but only a guideline.

Remember these are just personal opinion - but everyone knows i'm right

Nice, I'll check out some of the prices on ebay to see what I can get..

Just had a go on Dead Rising and it's pretty good... Although my first encounter with Zombies lasted about 12 seconds before i got killed.

Tons of games from dodders here.

Some many classics out and since you aint played for a while you got a whole backlog of games to get through.

If you like a slash em up go for Ninja Gaiden II, its a bit hard but its challenge.
If you like open world go for GTA 4 or if you want a bit more mayhem in the open world go for Saints row 1 or 2.
Crackdown is another good game, just avoid crackdown 2.

Im a more arcade racer than sim racer so Project Gotham Racing 3 and 4 are cheap as chips now. Or could go for the latest Need for Speed hot pursuit.

Assasins creed 2 and brotherhood are awesome, lot of people dont like one but 2 and brotherhood are different level.

If you can put up with playing as a rapper lol go for 50cent blood on the sand, i mean seriously is fun. Cheap and suprisingly good.
The club is another old game but cheap and if your into clearing a level and scoring as many points etc as you can the club is definately for you. I enjoyed it a lot.

Condemned is a FPS but with a twist, its exclusively almost all melee and hardly any guns and good story too.

I could go on and on lol.

I brought a PS3 after a good few years of owning a 360 and because I was late on the scene to owning a PS3 the choices of games I had were great and all cheap.
