Goes off freeview on the 23rd so we get to miss deadline day

Can always watch it on the lappy but thats just not the same

I think its something to do with the fact that they were forced to put a couple of their Sports channels on FV on a non-contract basis. Just being all bitter & twisted about it.

the main reason i have a freeview card in my pc is for ssn ... will have to resort to the skyplayer

I hate sky because they are greedy bastards. Stories like this are hardly suprising when they are currently charging £10 for HD when Virgin HD is free and you can now buy a tv with freeview HD built in. When you consider how many sky channels you actually get in HD, its a shitty deal.

This is true, but it's worth pointing out the Virgin has around 10 HD channels compared to nearly 40 on Sky

This is good sense by Sky - think only me & China-Rising are the only geezers on here who rate them.

I remmeber when ITV had their own package (On?) and it nosedived badly - Sky would not show any ITV channels if you subscribed with them.

It is a bit "It's my ball, I'm going home", but it shows not to mess with the big boys.

Greedy? Yeah, but they changed the whole of English football for the better, no argument.

they may well have changed the face of the premiership for the better, but not at any gain for the national team ... johnny foreigner is (at least) partly to blame for english players not being given a chance at the top level

the prem, for the most, part isn't a breeding ground for players anymore as most managers seem happier to be buying older foreign players than to be giving youth a chance

sky sports news is the only good thing about freeview,shame it is going

Sort of off-topic - but can someone explain to me why the picture on SSN is far too big for my telly? It used to be a bit bigger but since this morning with their new bells and whistles its taking the piss.

Oh, and before u ask, yes i've played around with the aspect ratios - just makes it worse....
