In all seriousness, I looked at waard's post about Gerrard going to Man City and initially scoffed at it, but if you put it into context, for a quarter of a million quid a week and a decent chance of winning some trophies next season, it could be a no-brainer

Or is he too much of a 'pure' footballer selwyn-lad?

If Man City sign anyone it'll be that work-shy gobshite Ibrahimovic, probably for about two billion quid!! Should clear the way for Barca to buy either Torres or Villa & most probably Fabregas!!

Very clever signing by Barca in bagging David Villa! Not only is he Spanish, world class, a guaranteed bagger & pint-sized like the rest of the diminutive Barca forwards, he's also not signed for Real Madrid who were desperately trying to get him last year!! Add that to the fact Fernando Torres is the other world-class Spanish striker potentially available who will never wear the white of Madrid due to his Atletico history, seems Barca are paving the way to having probably the best club team line-up of all time!

All they have to do now is flog Ibrahimashit to City to finance the Torres deal & they're in!! Imagine Torres, Villa & Messi as a front three with their current midfield behind them?

Bit of a quandry for Pool I'd say.... if Gerrard leaves then Torres will be on his bike as he'll be surrounded by a mass of mediocrity!! Can't see him going to City or Chelsea though as he'd get slated, especially with his gay tattoo!! Barca it is then & Gerrard to Real Madrid for a huge love-in with Jose..... here's hoping!!

I'm not entirely convinced Fibreglass will actually get in their first XI? The only player they can drop from the triumvirate is the holding midfielder (Busquets or Yaya Toure) unless they were to put Xavi in the holding roll & have Fibreglass & Iniesta in the two attacking positions? Thinking about it though, they may not need a holding player as the other team would never have the ball!!

I reckon' bagging Torres should be a higher priority than Cesc....

I would be stunned if el Torres doesn't sign for barca
