    Your Clubs All-Time XI

So what with my lot having nothing to look forward to this season apart from a relegation dogfight (and i'm using the word dogfight very liberally ), i was thinking about some of the greats that have played at UP.

So wots your clubs greatest eleven?

    A few rules:

All your team must have played in your lifetime - whatsmore your football watching lifetime. So all you Mancs - no Georgie Best, Dennis Law etc unless you are old enough to have seen them play. Hence no Bobby Moore in my team.

You must have a player for every position - right back, left back etc - and a real formation - no filling your midfield with central attacking boys.

All your players must have been with your club as a player for at least 2 years - no one season wonders.

Your team can be edited at a later date. Its unlikely that you'll remember every great player you've had straight off.

Note to selwyn - for the sake of this thread you are not 73 years ol - you're in your 30's.

    All that said, here's mine:

    GK:

    Ludek Miklosko (LUUUUUDOOO)

    Defenders:

    Ray Stewart
    Billy Bonds
    Rio Ferdinand
    Julian Dicks

    Midfield:

    Joe Cole
    Michael Carrick
    Trevor Brooking
    Alan Devonshire

    Forwards:

    Paolo Di Canio
    Frank McAvennie

Subs: (optional - bench of 5)

    Phi Parkes
    Alvin Martin
    Trevor Sinclair
    Martin "Mad Dog" Allen
    Tony Cottee

Yes, i know Judas Ince & the Fat man would walk into that squad but i just couldn't bring myself to do it....

    Cool

mmmm this is a tricky one

    1 Ray Clemence
    2 Jamie Carragher
    3 Phil Neal
    4 Tommy Smith
    5 Alan Hansen
    6 Emlyn Hughes
    7 King Kenny
    8 Steven Gerrard
    9 Nando Torres
    10 Ian rush
    11 John Barnes

i reckon that lot would give any team in history a hell of a game

i would liked fowler, but i had to choose between him, owen and rush ... rushie got my vote, but either of the three would still be a great option
