Thread: Is BIG MAN a Bully or a Saint???

Big debate going on about this at the mo... Calling for the big man to be locked up.

Was big man in the right? Is it the conductors fault? Shud the big man be locked up?? Did the studant deserve it?

tbh mate i tihnk the gezza was right throw him off , if you dont buy a ticket then what do you expect BUT it could have been handled in another way , the train could have continued to the next stop where the the poilce would be waiting for him and they could have sorted it out

The guy was 100% right. The guy was riding on a train without a ticket and giving the conducter attitude and was swearing at him. The conductor is entitled to eject the male, but he was an old man and someone offered to help. The fair dodger could have left on his own accord, but refused and even tried to barge his way back in. I say fair play to them. He's not a bully, that chavvy kid couldn't be arsed to pay for a ticket like everyone else and like Bass said he could have got nicked at the next stop, but they used discretion and he got a free ride.

few little facts here....

the chavvy kid had 2 1 way tickets in the wrong direction for that day.

the chavvy kid was a diabetic that had a a cpl of beers (he was thrown off the train with everyone just assuming he was pissed off his head) and his insulin... and uni books... were left on the train.

he didnt swear AT the conductor...... he swears yes... but not AT anyone.

so as he says, did he pay for a return and end up getting 2 1 way (as many of us that have used the train have done) ?

is he in the clouds a bit cos the beers have kiked his suger levels mental?

why did the conductor hold the train up and argue for 10 mins instead of moving on.. as the traffic police could have been waiting at the next stop.

tbh......

deffo a bully imo and the conductor was a prik for making it get to that when the police cudda piked him up at the next stop.

i wonder if those that are cussin the 'chav' would feel different if they knew the facts.. and the kid had gone into a coma and died on the platform???

I agree with DJ Bass Raver. I wouldn't call the big guy a bully he was not antagonizing the kid, I'd say he just got pissed of at being held up and wanted to get going on his way and did what most people wished they would do.

If he's too stupid/drunk to buy the right tickets, then tough.
Looks like his bag was 'ejected' from the train with him by another bloke (with a strip on his coat).

At the end of the day, why should all the people that followed the rules & bought the correct tickets have to have grief because of some little twat.

Good on the bloke for chucking him off.

and have you ever tried to buy train tickets in scotland?? i have, while sober. hence my sympathy... its a fukin nightmare.

imo... the conductor failed big time for holding up the train when the police could easy be at the next stop waiting for him and let them sort it out.

Buying train tickets is a bit of a pain full stop, but you can always get advice surely, even up in Scotland.

As for the conductor, for all you know he may have rules to do as he did - if you've not worked on public transport, then it's difficult to say. They have some very strange rules for certain things (My dad used to work as a bus driver so I know some of the crap that goes on).
Plus who's to say there were transport police at the other end? I rarely see any if I'm on the train, so it's more than likely he would have got away with it - which again isn't fair to all those 100s of other people who did buy the correct ticket.

depending on where he got the tickets from. and what time he got them.. there more than likely wernt any staff around.............. been there, done that.

Anyway, just my view - as far as I'm concerned he got what was deserved & the bloke who helped should be commended.

Looked like a bit of a bully to me.. Think the conductor could have handled it better and just phoned for the transport police to meet them and sort it out at the next stop. No need to hold up the whole train ffs.

Funny I saw this on the box today and wondered if Puffa would do a thread on it, nice one!

There's a shed-load of these videos of incidents on public transport now, think I'll do my usual thang and bury my head in the sand...

At the end of the day, the lad was in the wrong - there's no other 2 ways about it. No valid ticket - get off the train.
He didn't get off.

I read this story yesterday? and I was thinking "good on the bloke for getting the idiot off the train, it's a shame this doesn't happen more often"

Now that I have seen the video, I've kind of seen it in a different light. Sure the guy was in the wrong, but he was hardly a fair dodger. What I don't like is his attitude of "I don't care what you say, I'm staying right here and there is nothing you or anyone else can do so get lost and leave me alone" He could have simply got off the train and purchased a new ticket. What if he didn't have any money I hear you ask? why wouldn't he have any money for a train ticket?

As for the big bloke chucking him off, at first (thanks to the media) I was punching the air with delight, but seeing the video I far from wanted to do this simplistic act after witnessing good vs evil. If this bloke who didn't get off was some fair dodging skally, or drunken "Britain isn't Britain" brainless, Jeremy kyle watching, McDonalds eating tool, then I would still be punching the air. Instead it just seemed like a bloke sat quietly on a train while being surrounded by a pack of wolves moving in for the kill. That's the impression it gave me and has stayed with me.

Dunno mate, like I said at the ranting woman vid, I think this is just a trend at the moment.
