Not good - Chingford Mount is very near to my parents & ponders end / enfield / tottenham / walthamstow aren't too far away (15-20mins drive).
Enfield is also fairly near to where I work.

Looking at the footage of Tottenham the next day, it reminded me of that scene in Coming To America where Eddie Murphy steps out of his apartment on his first full day. The night before all the luggage had been stolen and when he steps out everyone on the street is wearing it.

I heard this on the local radio on sunday morning but they just said there were riots in North London so i phoned my dad. He told me the riots were in Tottenham. My dad then informed me that he is working in Tottenham Hale So i am concerned for his saftey now because of these mindless fuckwits.

At the end of the day if they were want to protest against the police for doing their job that's fine but they are wrecking their own communities with this mindless violence and looting - there are other ways of getting your message across.

But the rioting is now more to do with getting what they can for free from the shops they loot rather then a protest - i hope they get what's coming to them.

The rioting & looting may actually improve most of the areas.... They can't get much worse!

Glad I live in a quaint little village in the countryside.... Lived in London for seven years & despite having some very nice parts, the majority of it is an utter shitpit!

It's kicking off in Birmingham right now. Kind of, the 2nd City syndrome, if London can do it, we can.

Utter, utter low-life who have no self respect and nothing better to do. Ruining people's businesses, especially in Tottenham's case who find it hard to attract big business opportunities so it's left to locals to set up small businesses. Most of that is ruined now through mindless thuggery.

I really can't understand why there's riots in B'ham or elsewhere in the Country other than that of youths with fuck all better to do and not understanding why they're actually doing it.

Peaceful protest I can understand and gets the point across more effectively.
