About:
Killawaves.org is a Gazelle based website, specializing in high quality rips of Oldskool, Jungle and Drum & Bass music; to a lesser extent house, techno, IDM/ambient and dubstep.
Unlike other torrent sites whose focus lies primarily on being able to boast "having the largest tracker", in which they simply allow rips of any quality to be uploaded, irrespective of the quality, Killawaves (KWS) is dedicated to quality, with the underlying rule of Quality > Quantity - allowing nothing less than V0, 320 or FLAC rips onto the tracker. The motto of Quality > Quantity does not however, in any way mean KWS is lacking in content: with more than 1000 torrents uploaded in 2 months (done by about 6 committed uploaders), the torrentbase is growing rapidly with no signs of stopping and will surely accelerate as more people join in uploading.
The website's theme of oldskool / jungle / drum n bass is not biased to any genre; offering an even distribution of the freshest drum n bass, the darkest jungle from '94 and the rarest oldskool from '92 - all in V0, 320 or FLAC.
The Site's Functioning:
Having done extensive modifications to the Gazelle collage system, all torrents are automatically added to their respective label(s), which alongside with the catalogue system and the ability to view artists' discographies ensures effective browsing with the greatest ease.

Unique Aspects of KWS:
The most prominent thing about KWS is the dedication for quality. It could be said that KWS is the OiNK of the Oldskool / Jungle / Drum & Bass. As only V0/320/FLAC are allowed, you are guaranteed that whatever search results you get will be high quality.
Another important feature of KWS is an innovative ratio system (currently being installed) that creates a variable ratio requirement for users, based on how many torrents they have snatched/uploaded, how long they have been seeding as well as how much data they have downloaded. It is similar in function to the what.cd ratio system, but the KWS one has been created to incorporate more factors.
The purpose of this ratio system is to help users who are desperately trying to seed their torrents but either have a poor upload speed or no-one is leeching from them. If the user is trying to seed all of the torrents he has downloaded then he will be required to keep a ratio of effectively 0.00. If, however, he is not seeding anything, the user is required to keep the full ratio.
In short, the more torrents you seed, the more torrents you upload and the longer you seed them, the smaller the ratio requirement is.
There are various other ideas to be installed, but those are for later once all the bugs have been ironed out.

We have decided to use the new domain: killawaves.org, so from now on always log onto killawaves.org
You will also need to update the tracker for all torrents on killawaves. To do this, either re-download them, or manually update the tracker URL in your torrent client. If you are using utorrent, you can simply add all the torrents to a group, right click on the group and change the tracker url. This will apply to all the torrents within the group.
